    Hi I moved to Swineshead at Xmas. I have been using Ubuntu (then Xubuntu) since 2007. If anyone mentions M$ I say haven’t used it for 9 years… which gets a reaction!

    I started using Xubuntu before Unity… just liked the more basic approach although Ubuntu Mate I am considering switching to. Mate is a bit more ‘polished’ and strangely enouhg lighter than Xubuntu if reviews are correct.

    Not an IT pro but just dabbled in linux while I was nursing my mother with Alzheimers. Didn’t have any meetings with the LUG where I used to live so was wondering if folk meet up here.

    Does this group have meets anywhere?

    I’d be really grateful to meet some folk so i can re-install on my PC. I think it is an AMD64 but not sure. I have been using Xubuntu since 2007 and would like to change to Debian. But i need some help. I find Debian documentation a bit heavy to read through.
